Signing a chart entry says it’s accurate and locks it. After that, any change is added as an amendment and the signed version is kept.

Before you start

  • Set up your signing PIN and your signature. If you haven’t, Onsuki asks you to the first time you sign.
  • Your role needs the Sign client charts permission.

Sign the entry

1

Select Sign chart

When the entry is done, select Sign chart at the top.
2

Enter your PIN

Check the name under Signing as, then enter your six-digit Signing PIN, or select Use Face ID if it’s shown. The entry signs as soon as the PIN is complete.
You see “Chart signed.” and the entry shows Completed. When your business requires a Medical Director’s sign-off, it shows Ready for review instead and goes to the Medical Director.

Sign off as the Medical Director

Open an entry that’s Ready for review and select Sign off, then enter your PIN. To send it back, select Request changes and give a reason: the provider’s signature is removed and the entry goes back to them.

Amend a signed entry

1

Select Amend chart

Open the entry and select Amend chart.
2

Make your changes

Edit the fields that need it. Each change is listed under Amending chart, with the old value shown as Was.
3

Choose a reason and sign

Choose a Reason for amendment, then select Sign amendment and enter your PIN.
To give up an amendment, select Discard.

Good to know

  • When your business doesn’t require signatures, the button reads Mark as complete and no PIN is asked.
  • After five wrong PINs, signing with a PIN stops for 15 minutes.
  • When the entry is part of a treatment plan with sessions still to go, Chart details shows Book next session once it’s signed. It opens a new appointment for the same client, with the plan’s service when the plan has one.
