# Book a bay from the map

> See which bays are free on the floor plan, pick one and book it.

Some businesses show their bays or courts on a floor plan. You pick a day and a time, see which bays are free right then, and book the one you want.

## Book it

**1. Choose the location**

If the business has more than one location, its booking site asks where you're going first. Choose a location that has a map.

**2. Open the map**

Select the **Map** tab. It may have another name the business uses. If more than one location has a map, select a location's name above the plan to switch between them.

**3. Pick a day**

Choose a day under **Select a date**. Select the calendar button beside the days to see more of them.

**4. Pick a time**

Drag the slider to the time you want to start. The time shows beside it, and the line under the plan says how many bays are free then.

**5. Choose a free bay**

Free bays are marked **Open** and booked ones **Booked**, with the time they're free again. Select an open bay.

**6. Check the details**

The bay's name opens with **When**, and under **How long** the lengths you can book when there's a choice. Check the **Total**, then select **Book** and the bay's name.

**7. Confirm and book**

On **Confirm**, enter your details, choose a **Payment method** if you're asked, and select **Book** or **Book, pay in person**.

## Good to know

* To pick another time, select **Change** beside **When**.
* On a phone, a floor plan wider than it is tall is turned to run down the screen.
* For some bay types the business chooses the bay. Those say **Which one is yours is set when you book.**
* If the bay is taken while you're choosing, you're told when you select **Book**, and the plan shows what's free now. Pick another bay or time.
* Some bays show **Priced at checkout** instead of a total. You see the price on the next step, before you book.
* If you see **No floor plan yet** or **Nothing to book here right now**, select **Book from the list instead**. See [Book a court or bay](/customers/booking/book-a-court.md).
