# Ban a client

> Stop a client from booking with your business.

Ban a client who shouldn't book with you again. A banned client can't book online or in person until you unban them.

## Ban the client

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the client">
    In the menu, go to **Clients** and select the client.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the menu">
    Select the three dots at the top of their profile, then **Ban client**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Select **Ban client**.
  </Step>

You see "Client banned." with an **Undo** button, and their profile shows a **Banned** tag.

## Unban the client

Select the three dots on their profile, then **Unban client**.

## Good to know

* Their existing bookings stay. Cancel any you don't want to keep. See [Cancel an appointment or mark a no-show](/business/calendar/cancel-or-no-show).
* Banning keeps their history. To erase their details instead, see [Delete a client](/business/clients/delete-a-client).
